Final Project

This is my last project for the year.  I decided I wanted to do a ad for a hot rod garage.

The truck on this is a Ford F 100.  I put a hood scoop on it, and I also put on the side pipes from a AC Cobra.  Then i decided to give it hotrod flames.  I chose to use a metalic effect for the text.

Flash Lession 2

Name two primary differences between Mergeable Shapes and Drawing Objects. 1 In merge the shape and stroke can be selected seperatly, unlike in object made where he whole shape can be selected.  2  In merge overlapping shapes merge togeather, and in object the shapes stay seperate.

Which tool would you choose to manipulate individual points that make up a shape or path?  Merge.

What three advantages does isolating artwork on a layer offer?  1 different pices of art dont become mixed, 2 to be able to set how high up the layre is, and 3 it keeps the art seperate when on merge.

Wildfire

This is my superhero Named Wildfire.  Wildfire is a hero with power over fire. For this project I made fire coming out of his hands, and I decided to make a flaming cape.  I also decided to use a giant fireball as the background.
This is the story of the world's greatest hero,Wildfire. Wildfire was a normal American teen (named Jon) from a middle class family.  He was a member of a Boy Scout troop, and he went camping often.  During his freshman year of high school he went on a backpacking camp-out in Ocala National Forest with his Boy Scout troop.  After hiking 11 miles they set up camp for the night.  They noticed smoke in the distance, but they thought that the fire was far enough away, and would not be of any danger to them.  Once the sun went down they could see a hazy orange glow on the horizon from the forest fire.  When they went to bed there was a strong breeze coming from the west the same direction as the blaze.  Suddenly they awoke in the early morning hours to the sound of crackling, the wind had pushed the fire to the camp-site.  All the boys in the troop ran to the nearby lake and jumped in the water.  Unfortunately, Jon was surrounded by the fire and unable to make it to the water.  The flames pushed their way toward him, and he began to fear for his life.  As the flames began to lick and engulf his body he realized his skin was not burned.  After the fire died down his friends found him, and he was fine. The troop leaders were relieved, but they were baffled by the fact that he was unharmed by the flames. An hour later a forest fire fighter found them, and radioed for a helicopter to take the boys to the nearest hospital.  After receiving a clean bill of health Jon went home, and experimented with his powers.  He found out that he could shoot fire from his hands, and manipulate the flames with his mind.  From then on he was known as Wildfire.
The life altering force that I used in this story is sheer chance.  This was chance because without that fire he would have never found out about his power.
The Superhero origin has 3 kinds of  life altering experences. The 1st is trauma, the 2nd is destiny, and the 3rd is chance.

Hero Name

For the name of my hero, Wildfire I chose to make his name look like it was made of fire because he has the power of fire.

Doodle 4 Google

This is my doodle 4 Google.  My concept was a Rube Goldberg machine starting with dominoes that trigger a newton's cradle, triggering diet coke and mentos, causing a balance to move up causing a catapult to fling a cheeseburger to a person's hand.  I hid the letters of the Google logo throughout the project.

If I could invent one machine to make the world a better place it would feed the hungry.

Ad replication

This is my ad replication project. I chose to do a Fedex ad.  The top one is mine and the bottom is the original.  I used many tools to create this ad.  I used the quick select tool to select the shape of the continents, and then I used a mask to make the texture of the contenents the correct shape. I used the quick select tool to select the shutters, and then used refine edge to remove their background. Using the shape tool I created the black area in between the shutters. Then I put the people in  by using quick select to remove the background, then the clone stamper to cover up the watermarks.  I removed the background from the box with quick select and refine edge, and then used the free transform tool to get the box the right size.

Pyramellon From Publix

This is my strange fruit it is a pyramid shaped watermelon.  Since I did a pyramid mellon I called it a pyramellon.  I added the from publix because publix is a store that sells melons.  These would be eaten by anybody that wants a pyrimid shaped mellon.  These mellons would be sold at grocery stores and resteraunts.

The Swamp Thing From The Everglades

This is my project for the banquet.  I wanted to do something similar to the custom vehicle project, but doing another car would be to similar. I decided to do a mutated animal.  I used a lion's head, a tree frog's legs, a sea turtle's shell, a duck's bill, and an alligator's tail.  Since I used several aquatic animals including an alligator I decided to put it in a swamp, and call it the Swamp Thing From The Everglades.

Radioactive Pizza From 3 Mile Island

This is my pen tool project.  I chose to do a living slice of pizza because I was hungry while doing my sketches and was thinking of pizza.  Since I was thinking of pizza I decided to make a living one. The hardest part with the pen tool was getting the curves right.  

Back Story

The Radioactive Pizza From 3 Mile Island

This pizza was ordered by the employees at the 3 Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant during their lunch break on March 28, 1979.  Once the pizza arrived they ate all but 1 slice, so they left it in the box. Then the 3 Mile Island Nuclear Meltdown began. Some of the radioactive material that was escaping the reactor mutated their leftover pizza, and it came alive.  Once the government responded to the nuclear meltdown they found this slice of pizza running around causing all kinds of havoc. While cleaning up the mess caused by the meltdown they trapped the radioactive pizza. After trapping the Pizza from 3 Mile Island they locked it up in area 51 with the aliens, and it is still there today.

New York Poster

This is my state poster. I chose to do it on New York because I lived there before moving to Florida. The state bird is the Eastern Bluebird which is located on a branch in a tree.  A large beaver is sitting on the lawn because it is the state animal. The state capital is located in Albany, New York. A picture of the capital building is located behind the beaver,and the state flag is weaving in the background. The Statue of Liberty which is next to the flag was one of the first things immigrants saw when they arrived in New York. New York's nickname is the Empire State, and a picture of the Empire State building is on the poster.  The state motto is Excelsior.
