WIldfire Origin Story

This is the story the world's greatest hero,Wildfire. Wildfire was a normal American teen from a middle class family, named Jon.  He had lived in Florida since he was 7.  He was a member of a boyscout troop so he went camping often.  During has freshman year of high school he and his boyscout troop went on a backpacking campout in Ocala National Forest.  After hiking 11 miles they set up camp for the night.  They noticed smoke in the distance but they thought that the fire was far enough away.  Once the sun went down they could see a distant orange glow on the horison from the forest fire.  As they went to bed there was a strong breze that night from the west, the direction to the blaze.  Then they awoke to the sound of crackiling, the wind had pushed the fire to the camp.  All the boys of the troop ran to the nearby lake, but Wildfire was trapped by the fire.  As the flames pushed their way to him he feared for his life.  The flames reached him but he wasnt harmed.  After the fire died down his friends found him, but he was fine.  Then a forest fire figheter found them and called in a helichopter to take them to the hospital.  After reciving a clean bill of health Jon went home and experimented with his powers.  He found out that he can shoot fire from his hands, and manipulate fire with his mind.  From the on he was known as Wildfire.
The life altering force that I used in this story is sheer chance.  This was chanse because without that fire he would have never found out about his power.
